Which way to turn

Life is like a fork in the road
Left and right
identical
Yet utterly different.
Which way is best for me?
Which way is best for you?
Can i walk the middle for the both of use?

Life is like a computer code
A series of 0 and 1.
For anyone truly meaningless
But for a computer
Meaningful
My life is vanity
But it isn't
I effect everything and every one
For the good
For the bad.

Life is like a bouncy ball
Bouncing around
Left right up down
Never straight forward
Random path
confusing
But

Thats what life is

haiku 2

The creek trickles away
The Spring light opens the meadow
Where young love can blossom

Running from fear

Running from Fear

The wind in your face
the ground pounding at your feet
Your blood rushing through your head
Your legs
Your arms
Heart pumping
Sweat dripping
Trees melting behind you.
Behind to the monster
Fear
Ahead, the walls of safety.
So close, but so far.
Unattainable refuge from fear
But you can never get away from fear.

Secrets

Secrets

We all house secrets
Well guarded tidbits of information
Stored in our hearts
Behind walls of glass
Walls of stone
Some impenetrable
Some penetrable.
Some trust everyone
Some trust no one.
Not one soul.
Their walls the thickest.
Hiding pain behind their every smile.
Never opening
Afraid of the pain they cause others
When the pain is caused from not knowing
From not knowing the reason behind their words
Their scars
Their pain
Them.

Why does Anything

Why?

Why does the sun rise?
Why do the suns arm reach so longingly for earth?
Why does the sun always come, never dies, never ending?
Why does the light that follows bath us daily?
Why do we see the beauty?
Why do we see?

Why do flowers grow?
Why do the small images of petals and the smell of love from them always greet us?
Why are we allowed to harbor flowers?
Why do we get such beauty?

Why does the moon greet us?
With different faces, none less loving then the last?
Why do we get the moon?

Why do we deserve anything?
We are nothing special, yet the natural beauty of everything greets us
And everything.

Why are we so damn lucky?

Meadow

Meadow

A meadow
With long grasses
Blowing in the warm summer air.
Blowing the sweet scent of flowers towards the middle
In the middle sit a girl and boy
Arms, hands, and body interlocked.
Love
Young love.

One the horizon, a storm is brewing
Storm clouds rising
Towering heights
Both boy and girl notice.
Neither moves
They wait
Drawing out the lovely moment
As
Long
As
Possible

Red

Red

The color of blood
A painful association
The red lines on a young girls white wrists.
The red hue of the liquid trickling down his face.
From where the gun was held a few moments ago
By him.
For him.
Red is a bad color
People shouldn't want to see it
But they do.
Every day.
Every
Day.

Haiku

A forceful wind blows
A flower bends in the wind
Pressure on people

candle

A candle
Flickering in the breeze
Casting eerie shadows on all surfaces.
Ever changing light
Reaching fro everything
Yet failing to reach anything
The eternal struggle
To impact anything
But not big enough to impact anything
To weak
For its only goal
But still trying
Never giving up

I wish I had that determination

Trees

The forest

Filled with trees,
Each individual in its own right
No one exactly the same
Yet all the same
All the same trees
But all different
The leaves block out the sunlight
The forest floor is dark
The only sound is the birds
Telling you to leave
You aren't welcome here
But if you aren't welcome here, where are you welcome?

Hope

Wake up!
There is a new day coming
Steeping on the horizon
Peeking over the snow-glazed mountains
Reaching into the pale valleys
A day with out pain
A day with out darkness
Hang on!

The day is rising

Broken

I am broken
Shattered into endless splinters
Though I seem oaken
I am constant winters
One too many lies spoken
One too many promises broken
One too many word thrown like a dart
Landing on my heart
It starts to fracture
It splinters
It breaks

It can’t be fixed

Cave

Cave

The dark mouth
Gaping
Waiting
For a visitor
Wonder down the winding paths
Of nature
So dark
Light is afraid
Strike a match
Watch it burn
Soak in the light before heading into the dark again
Come to the bottom, where you are blinded
By a bright light
A beautiful light

The brightest things live in the darkest places

skiing

Skiing

The wind
The snow
The rocks
The ice
The plastic
The wax
The clothes
The lift
The trees
all work together
creating a fun sport

Of Natural Beauty

Natural roses growing on a bush
The intoxicating scent of the flower
Sweeter then honey
Disguising the whispering cascade behind
Water of pure white
Falling from the precipice on high
Falling into a cool pond tinted blue
Sand cocooning the crystal pond
The blond hue broken only
Where the cool water leaves
Continuing its journey away from here
Leaving the grey cliff of granite
And the bush of the reddest roses
Behind
The rose bush gives way to a green hill
Covered in the softest grass
A place to sit
A place to sleep
Next to the grey cliff with the whispering water
And the mirror like pond
And the purest stream
The sun beats down
Warming the earth
Warming you
Smiling at the thin stream
Jetting of the cliff, falling to earth
The fall keeps whispering
A squirrel scurries by
Stopping only to drink at the clear blue pond
Scurrying away from the pencil grey cliff
Not from fear
There is no fear here.
In this place

Of natural beauty
