Running from Fear
The wind in your face
the ground pounding at your feet
Your blood rushing through your head
Your legs
Your arms
Heart pumping
Sweat dripping
Trees melting behind you.
Behind to the monster
Fear
Ahead, the walls of safety.
So close, but so far.
Unattainable refuge from fear
But you can never get away from fear.
